Do you know what a Flute Tuner is?
A flute tuner is a device that can accurately detect the pitch of notes. It has two different purposes. They are similar, but different: One use is for initial tuning and the other is for checking if you are playing in tune with yourself.

Try a Digital Tuner
What to look for in a digital flute tuner: A fully chromatic tuner that quickly and accurately finds the note being played, indicates when and if you’re in tune, also tells you if you are sharp or flat. It should also have an adjustable sensor that is easily secured to the instrument with a clip for better results, even in noisy environments.
Playing in Tune
Arguably, the best way to play in tune more consistently is to practice, practice, practice, all the while paying attention to your tuning. You can play sharper or flatter from one day to the next, depending on your playing position, how tense or relaxed your lips are, and even humidity changes.
Once you practice playing in tune consistently, and hear all the different nuances, the small alterations or changes you need to make by rolling in, raising or lowering your head, and adjusting your playing style will become second nature.
Tuning Your Flute
Tuning your flute. The number one thing to remember is that the position of your head joint actually affects your tuning. If you are too sharp, which means your pitch is elevated above the proper note, you need to pull your head joint out. When you sound flat you need to push your head joint in. Flat means your pitch sounds a little bit below the note.
You may try this technique: Try rolling the flute in towards the lips to make a note sharper, or out away from the lips to make the note flatter. This may not be how you are taught, but it may help you recognize how moving the lips can alter the pitch.
When you are going to tune your flute, warm your flute up. A cold flute is flat. If you tune your flute when it is cold, it will play sharp when playing warmed up.

I’ve got one and I love it. It’s the best tuner I’ve ever owned and I have owned several in 20 years of guitar playing. I always have these on my guitar, even during shows, it has never fell off and its clearly visible in the dark
